This is a petition from the undersigned to the Scottish Government and Scotrail, calling for an end to the unacceptable level of delays and cancellations that the public have had to endure in recent weeks.

Rail passengers have been late or simply have not made it in for work, for hospital appointments, and for college and university lectures. Children have been left stranded at after school care facilities because their parents have not been able to pick them up due to delays and cancellations. The quality and quantity of our train service is plummeting while the cost of travel is sky rocketing.

The Scottish Government must urgently work with ScotRail to ensure that the train service improves and, at the very least, they fulfil their contractural obligations and performance targets.
We should not have to put up with this poor service any longer. Local people deserve better.
