Jackie Baillie sampled Loch Lomond Group’s products during a special ‘Great Taste of Scotland’ event hosted by Asda in the Scottish Parliament this week.

The Dumbarton constituency MSP met with Justin Lyle, National Account Manager for Loch Lomond Group and found out more about the Alexandria producer’s range of drinks.

It comes after the company signed a new deal earlier this year which will see three of the company’s new whisky lines offered in more than 50 Asda stores across Scotland.

The new products are a Loch Lomond 10-year-old single malt whisky, classic single malt whisky and Glen Scotia Campbeltown Harbour malt whisky meaning the Loch Lomond Group now have 13 products listed within Asda stores. This includes their Glen’s one litre vodka which is available at stores across the UK and online.

The Dumbarton constituency MSP said: “It was a pleasure to meet with Justin from the Loch Lomond Group during the Great Taste of Scotland event at the Scottish Parliament.

“The Loch Lomond Group is a fantastic example of an expanding local firm intent on bringing innovative products to the market.

“It was also great to speak to Asda about the investment which the supermarket is making in local suppliers to help grow their business and bring their products to the wider market. This is to be welcomed and encouraged to allow more small firms to expand their businesses and grow our economy.”
