CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION
CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION

Jackie Baillie has chosen her winners for her 2022 Christmas card which will be distributed to 5000 people across her Dumbarton constituency.

Primary seven pupil Eva-Maria Martin from Arrochar Primary won the overall competition and her design will be sent to pensioners across the Dumbarton, Vale of Leven, Helensburgh and Lomond areas in the lead up to the festive period.

Calum Gillespie, p7 at St Michael’s Primary in Dumbarton was in second place with Zac Stibbs, p7 at Knoxland Primary in third place. Their designs will feature on the back of the card which will be distributed.

Hundreds of designs were submitted to the MSP who, along with a judging panel, selected the winners.

Jackie Baillie said: “Every year, I open up this competition to schools across the constituency and I am never disappointed with the effort that is put in by the pupils.

“This year’s entries were fantastic and very difficult to judge due to the high standard. Eva-Maria’s snowman design captured the spirit of Christmas and the bright colours really stood out.

“Thank you to all of the teachers and pupils for the hard work in producing such wonderful designs. I look forward to these being distributed across the area, providing some festive cheer.

“And a special thank you to the Dumbarton Reporter and Helensburgh Advertiser for sponsoring the event and to Morrisons for supplying the prizes.”
