Cameron Williams, a primary 7 pupil at Cardross Primary School, scooped the first prize with a Christmas tree bauble-inspired design. His artwork will now feature on Jackie Baillie MSP’s official Christmas card that will be sent to 3500 individuals from charities, businesses, the world of politics and other local organisations.

The runners up are Sophie McFarlane (Lennox Primary, Bonhill), Aimee Rogers (Christie Park Primary, Alexandria) and Olivia Donald (St Joseph’s Primary, Helensburgh) and their designs will feature on the back of the Christmas card.

The annual competition has been sponsored by the Helensburgh Advertiser and the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter.  Frankie & Benny’s kindly donated the prizes for the best designs.

Jackie said:

“I received hundreds of high quality entries this year from local schools. It is always difficult to choose a winner but Cameron’s design was very festive and the judging panel was really impressed with how creative it was.

“I would like to thank Helensburgh Advertiser and the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter for once again sponsoring the competition and Frankie & Benny’s for providing the prizes and hosting all the winners at the prize-giving ceremony.”
